GUIDELINES FOR APPLICATION FOR MATERNITY LEAVE IN DAC/UNICAMP AND FOR CAPES AND CNPq SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS

Maternity Extension

It is authorized to extend the time of completion, for up to 180 days, for the pregnant student who has had the delivery within the current period of the Master and Doctorate courses, provided that an official request is made by her or legal representative. 

No later than 25 days after the child's birth, the documents listed below must be presented at the Secretariat of the Postgraduate Course of FEAGRI, in order to extend the final period of completion. 

The delivery of these documents by third parties is authorized.

To apply for the Pregnant Leave at DAC/UNICAMP, present at CPG:

- Digital copy of the child's Birth Certificate;

- Medical Certificate with the request for removal from Maternity Leave. There is no standard model. The document issued by the doctor must contain the ICD, the date of the beginning of the Leave and the number of days;

- Your letter addressed to your advisor with the information of the maternity leave period, and another letter from your advisor addressed to the CPG Coordinator, with the agreement of the leave and informing if the student holds a scholarship and from which funding agency, still inform the forecast for the realization of her defense (model);

Note: If the student wants to attend any subject during this period of leave, add the "Home Exercises" Form” completed and signed.

PROCEDURES FOR MATERNITY ASSISTANCE IN CASES OF SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS - CAPES and CNPQ:

All procedures will be carried out there.

CAPES SCHOLARSHIPS HOLDERS - ORDINANCE No. - 248, DECEMBER 19, 2011

"The maximum regulatory periods for the duration of scholarships in the country and abroad, equal to or greater than 24 months, for the degree of masters and PhDs, may be extended for up to 4 (4) months, if the temporary removal of the scholarship activities is proven, caused by the occurrence of childbirth during the period of the respective scholarship. The temporary removal should be formally communicated to Capes, accompanied by confirmation by the Pro-Rectory, coordination of the course or advisor, as the case may be, specifying the dates of start and end of the effective period, as well as documents proving pregnancy and birth. After the 4-month limit, payments of the scholarship benefits will not be suspended during the period of leave."

Present at CPG:

- The child's Birth Certificate, original or notarized (we will take a copy and return it to you);

- Medical Certificate with the request for removal from Maternity Leave. There is no standard model. The document issued by the doctor must contain the ICD, the date of the beginning of the Leave and the number of days;

CNPQ SCHOLARSHIPS HOLDERS

According to RN 017/2006 - Attachment IV - Item 4.4.2: 

"For cases of delivery or adoption during the scholarship period, the duration of the scholarship will be extended for a further 4 (four) months."

Present at CPG:

- The child's Birth Certificate, original or notarized (we will take a copy and return it to you);

- School History of the student linked to the Postgraduate Program (Document available at SIGA/DAC);

- Medical Certificate with the request for removal from Maternity Leave. There is no standard model. The document issued by the doctor must contain the ICD, the date of the beginning of the Leave and the number of days;
